Went to the pool for a brief recovery session of 1600m to help the legs recover quickly.
Pretty warm today. 6:20 start was early for a race so again not too much sleep. Wanting to run 72 minutes I was so happy and surprised to run a PB for the half today. Ive had absolutely no taper and its been months of build up - so go figure. There were still plenty of times however that I felt dead during the run and was on the edge of dropping down a few gears a few times as I struggled with some fatigue. The most pleasing thing was the pb though which came unexpectedly. It wasn't until the last 200m that I actually took more notice of my watch and thought - I can do this. I was pretty stuffed at the end but recovered quickly and started walking before the swim
