Ride 161km, 5:38, 28.6km/h average (Off the Garmin)
To tell you the truth I was just happy to get through the ride. I didnt know if my knee was going to hole up at all. Strapped it the night before and it did hurt a little at times, but thats it. I felt strong (After 3 weeks of basically no riding) and took more than my fair share of turns on the fron including approx 20km into strong winds up at the Calga TT course.
Went out with Mark Newton and the Hert team with approx 12 others including James and Aron. It was a perfect day for riding, great course, great hills, 4 stops and a solid ride. I was definately tired by the end but happy with the ride.
I didnt really document the previous week, I spent a lot of it in hospital with Jo. Im pleased to say she is now recovering well. Very bad infection. appendix removed, strong antibiotics. From what I remember i did do a swim and a couple of small runs only. Saturday I ran 40 minutes on the treadmill and that was it knee held up pretty good all in all.
