Sat 10th Jan - 12 Hour Endurance Race

12 hour road race - SECOND MALE PAIRS. HARDCORE - that's the team name! But yes we are Hardcore, that is Pete and I. 94 Laps, approx 250km each and a solid day and result. 5km run off the last efort as Pete tried for the win but we missed the last break.

This was an extremely taxing day starting at 7am in Penrith and not getting home until around 10pm. I took turns as follows

In the first block I did 105km. Constant surges and pushing within the front pack took its toll. I avoided two crashes but stayed on until almost the end where Pete took over and caught the pack again. All in all it was tough but very good training on already tired legs!
