Another very solid day. I was extremely happy to be able to put in a decent effort for the run with the only disappointment being me stopping 3km or so from the top of Charlottes (as Pete was on the way down and we were starting to run very late anyway). Jo was the support car again for the second time in the trip. I needed it for food and clothes and motivation, as I was definitely fatiguing as the head wind took its toll - even Schokman stating it was the worst conditions he had ridden in. Still I’m much stronger than before a testament to consistency, Newton nutrition, and getting my gear all together.

Today marked the end of the most solid and successful training camp I have ever trained on. I’m pleased my knees held up and the accommodation, friends, food, training, weather were all spot on. Massive thanks to Jo, Ads, Eliza, Jeff and Pete and Sofia. I’m already looking forward to next year and I’m now confident I can do the Oz Ironman well enough to qualify if I hold it all together and train well.
