Wasnt feeling the best today, Ive added in an overall feeling index out of 10 so when I look back I can see how I was feeling on the day etc. You can see today was a 3, pretty bad. At least it wasnt wet this morning on the ride, but from the outset I felt heavy even in the 15 minutes before I met James I knew I'd struggle. And so we went out for the planned 2 hr ride. In the 40 minute effort i really suffered, it was supposed to be 90 second turns but it was more like James 4.5 minutes, me 90 seconds. I didnt have the power (Look at my Max HR I couldnt get it anywhere near max, so Its suprising my average was still ok) James was riding very strong, he did most of the work, but i wasnt even riding on his wheel as I didnt have the power. Just hung in there to get a fairly good session out.
In the afternoon I didnt bother swimming, It would have made me worse. Pity - Ive missed a few swims lately. Nothing like starting a new job and rampng into serious training to be challenged mentally and physically. It will be worth it one day.

Keep at it mate, you are stringing some valuable sessions together. 'Shock' phase is bloody hard and it will take a little time to adapt. Focus as much on your recovery as you do your training and you'll pop through fit as a fiddle.
